Notes:
This song was a lot of fun to create. John laid down the original piano and we built it from there. Originally it had a simple click track. I thought that was a little bland so I wrote a hi-hat line and threw in a few other things to add interest. I think this was our first song with no guitars.

Lyrics by John Lister
The man on the street, Doesn’t want to know what’s going on
He feels incomplete, waiting for his worthless day to dawn
He opens his eyes; before the sunrise
He often denies; that there is no prize
The man on the street, Doesn’t want to hear about a starving child
He feels kind of beat, He’s been eating pizza all the while
He doesn’t wear skirts; but stuffs all his shirts
Bad Kharma he spurts; like a giant squid squirts
The man on the street, sends some money to a charity
Changing his ways, maybe it will somehow set him free
He fears it’s too late; like closing a gate
Playing crosswords with fate; He impersonates
Decidedly sad, staring at the east, while traveling west
Straining his neck, he is just confused like all the rest
He opens his eyes; before the sunrise
He often denies; that there is no prize
